October is almost over, and November will likely bring colder weather and windy conditions.
Okay… we promise this isn’t a weather forecast!
With more “days in” to escape the chill, we thought it was the perfect time to share all the CPD events we have planned for next month. So sit tight and take a look at some of our awesome upcoming sessions!
1. CPD Musculoskeletal Masterclass (Sunday 9th November)
MSK can be tough — especially when it comes to shoulders, spines, and knees.
We’re bringing in Mr Sikandar Kiani, a trainee ACP and experienced physiotherapist specialising in frailty and injuries, to guide us through the key principles of assessment, diagnosis, and management of common MSK conditions.
This was one of our most popular masterclasses last year, and you definitely won’t want to miss it this time around!
2. CPD Haematology Masterclass (Sunday 16th November)
Low Hb, low MCV, and normal iron… Raised paraprotein in someone who’s well… Spontaneous jaundice with a normal ultrasound and LFT profile…
These tricky blood interpretation scenarios can take hours to make sense of.
Haematology is challenging, but to help us navigate red cell, white cell, platelet, and clotting abnormalities, we’ve invited Dr Mehvish Ul-Haq, a specialist haematology registrar. She’ll walk us through the core principles of diagnosing, referring, and managing complex haematological conditions.
If you deal with tricky blood results, this is one you don’t want to miss!
3. CPD Pain Management Masterclass (Sunday 23rd November)
Treating pain can be a pain in itself!
After the success of our recent Understanding Pain webinar, we’re excited to welcome Dr Fayruz, an anaesthetic registrar with a subspecialty in pain medicine. She’ll be uncovering the mysteries of effective pain management — including the use of novel analgesic combinations.
This session is suitable for clinicians at all levels, from those new to managing pain to those encountering complex pain scenarios.
Each masterclass includes carefully selected cases, opportunities to ask questions, and full event recordings so you can revisit the content anytime.
All sessions are externally accredited and will earn you the CPD points you need for that all-important appraisal.
